CNC cut 4'x4'x3" polysterene, painted white, with projection

Using a custom-made script in the 3D-modeling software 3DS Max, I randomly generated a pattern of rectangles to be precisely cut into a sheet of styrofoam with a CNC router. The resulting sculpture exactly matches with its virtual counterpart, allowing me to map projected light onto the physical incarnation. The light flickers and arcs across the sculpture, evoking circuitry.
